Hey Everybody, Long time no here from huh. Here is what is new. Mary now lives with me. Soon she and Mom are going to take a little vacation. Mary is going to Montana to pick up the remainder of her things from Jenifer and Steve that now live in Montana.

Mom is going as far as Leticia's and will be visiting her until Mary comes back by to pick her up. I will he here at home until August 4. Then I will be going to an eWomen Network conference in Dallas, TX. It should be a very exciting time and I will bring you pictures and a report when we all return home in late August.

I forgot to explain that Mom, Mary and I will be going to Charleston, SC when we get back just so that we can have a little vacation with the seniors. It should be great fun and I will let you know when we get back. Take care and will be back to you all soon.

Hi there,
Have just returned from Mary's in Colorado. It was great and there was a lot of snow. The trip took us 4 days and very little of it was icy. It was not until we started home that we were a little reluctant about the weather. I was not feeling well and the 8 inches of snow that had fallen the day before our planed trip home was as little scary to Mom. I didn't feel well from an attacking cold so I ask my sister if she would come home with us to help with the driving. She agreed and is now here at home with Mom and I. I am going to rent her a vehicle to drive home so she can take a few of the unwanted things in this house. I will send picture soon, but for now that is it. My sister has really improved on her personal goals and self satisfaction. This has made her a much appreciated sister and friend.

The Trip to Hawaii

We just returned from our adventure in Hawaii. It was a magnificent trip and I can not wait to go back.

We landed at the Airport in Oahu on Monday the 20 th at 3:30 p.m. From there a little shuttle van took us to our hotel the Sheridan at Waikiki. We went to our room and before we could get settled in we had to go to the check in on the 2 ND floor for the NCA (National Cheerleaders Association) that's right all you fun loving people, Mom and I are taking up cheer leading. Believe it or not it is true. NOT!!!!

Monday night we met with all of the family that was over there. Jade, Harley, Letitia, Will, Jon Glen, Mom and I. The seven of us went out to dinner. Let me tell you the food over there was so good that we made a joke about eating our way through Hawaii. Mom stayed in the room she was too tired.

Tuesday we started our day early with breakfast in the Molanu room. Then we had a free day so I went down to the lobby to talk to the conceir while mom waited out front. Every place we wanted to go we were told that there were no tram rides. I knew that mom wanted to walk but that she would have trouble walking the whole way. So I rented a wheel chair for her. One of the best purchases I made while I was there. Mom was now able to go where ever she wanted. Transportation was still a problem. We were mistakenly told that we could not take a wheel chair on the bus. On one of our last days there we found out that we could take a bus.

The story behind the bus was a very interesting one. On Sunday we went to Foster's botanical gardens. It was not far from downtown and a taxi would only be about ten dollars. So off we went to a taxi. Mom never once took her eye's off the meter. The higher it went over ten dollars the more she would say. "That is not ten dollars". Finally we arrived. I paid the Taxi and Mom paid the tip. The stupid driver made us walk about a block to get to the parking lot. So any way we made in and had a wonderful time looking at all the tree's and plants.

After this we were going to go to the Bishops museum and see the sights there. Well I started to push mom what I thought was going to be only a short walk and turned out to be about twenty blocks. We were about 1/4 mi. from the museum when we were told that we could catch the bus there. Well when we found out about the bus I was sort of mad, and so was mom. Then we got on the bus in what we thought was the right direction only to find out that we were suppose to go the other way. By this time I was to tired to go back but as luck would have it we were on our way to the motel anyway. So that is the bus story.

We sat through the game of the Hawaii Worriers and the Boise State ???? not sure what you would call the mascot that I saw on the field. Maybe buckaroos! Mom cheered for Boise and I cheered for Hawaii.

Well if any one sees this before they delete my November news letter please send it back to me and My computer DIED in the middle of the night, night before last. And I need to get some of the adds off of the calendar and newsletter, as well as some of the email address. I lost my mailing lists but have most files saved. So I can use Jenifer's but it will take a lot of doing as three of us would be using this one. So let's all see me (Now visualizes this please, Me setting at my new fully loaded New Apple Power Book. By fully loaded I mean with the complete Adobe Designer Suit, with Dreamweaver and Illustrator End Design and Photoshop)You see that see the big smile on my face. Thats my truth and I'm sticking to it. If anyone has about 4 or 5 thousand dollars laying around and don't know where to invest it, ME! ! Anyway thought I'd put that out into the universe.

Hi From Missouri, We here are still sad about the loss of Uncle Eddie. Hope everyone in Tenn. is doing ok. I love you. I am thinking of you often. Well Mom and I had a good visit. It was good to see her again. She got to see Jade cheer but Harley was sick so hopefully she will get to come out and see her cheer some day. She also got to ride our horse Sugar and had a good time doing that we also spent time scrapbooking together. I guess I haven't blogged sense I went to California. We are all thrilled Jon, Spike's son is safe, and coming home soon so glad to here that. We were all freaked out yesterday when a helicopter from his unit went down. I freaking out after calling mom and finding out we would just have to wait to hear form Spike. I went to my cards and they told me he was ok just very sad about his friends. I received word this morning he was ok but it was one of his friends who died in the crash. All our prayers are with you Jon all prayer power of this family is with you and Gary's Grandson as well. I'm sure we can all agree we want all our boys home safely.

More Brotherly Pranks

Another thing that I remember my brothers doing was calling me out to the front yard to sit with them and the guys. This was kind of cool. So being very unsuspecting I went to where they were and through myself on the ground beside them.

My brothers were smoking and they ask me if I wanted to smoke one. I said sure, trying to be big you understand. Well little to my knowledge they had filled my smoke with coffee grounds. I turned greener then a gourd. I walked or rather staggered over to where my Mom was at the Tabers. I told mom what they had done and at first she didn't beleive me. Then she looked at me and saw how green I was and knew that I had to be telling the truth.

Wow, where do I start? First off we are so very pleased to find so many new members of our "extended family", especially as far out as Knoxville, Tennessee! Molly, we will get out there in the very near future! I have to share the story about how all this came to be. Back in March of 1996, Don's Mother, Marie Wiseman, married to Arnold Wiseman, and I spent the her last days together and we talked about alot of things. She started to talk about the Wiseman's and gave me some names and made it clear that if I should ever have the desire to look anyone up it should be Nellie Hatcher. I wrote down names and places. After the funeral services and such I packed away some of Marie's things and I came across the notepad that I had written down the names and such. I thumbed through it and set the pad into one of my cubby holes of my desk. Periodically, I would do quick searches on the internet but nothing would transpire. I did this off and on over the past several years. This past June, I was searching for something on my desk and came across the notepad. I said to myself "Self, it's been a long time since you've tried this and with the internet being so advanced maybe this time it will pay off. I'll just put that in my tote bag and take it to work with me!". I did just that. As I reached into my bag for my ID badge, out came the notepad, landed right side up, onto my keyboard. I was staring at the name Nellie Hatcher. I'm one to pay attention to "signs" when they appear. I promptly put off my field work and sat in front of my computer (fortunately I have a leinient schedule) and started my quest. Don had no clue what I was doing. I heard about a new website and I tried it. I typed in the name Floyd and Nellie Hatcher and it came up with a profile. I had a gut feeling I found the pot at the end of the rainbow:-). I clicked on the "get more info" tab and naturally it told me that it would cost me to go further. Not a problem, I knew this was it. I was so excited. I pondered on what my next move should be and after an hour or so I made the phone call. Aunt Nellie answered and I think she thought she had some crackpot at the other end of the line. I started spilling out info that Marie had given me and it was stuff only a family member would know. She started listening. After talking with her and Charlene I finally told Don what had taken place and he was so estactic. When Aunt Nellie said to me "I finally found little Donny", I knew all was good. Aunt Nellie, Charlene, and Don finally got to talk with one another AND my side of the family conducts a yearly reunion and it has always been held at a park not far from Aunt Nellie's. Imagine that! Throughout the years Don was just down the street from Aunt Nellie's home. June 23 is when Aunt Nellie and Don got to meet for the first time in 45 years. I'll post a picture of them together later. It's awesome! I had to chuckle in between my tears of joy when Aunt Nellie called him "Little Donny" as I told her, sometimes when I get a bit perturbed with him, I call him "Little Donny Wiseman" (not that I get perturbed with him often!) Aunt Nellie gave me Justapearl's phone number and I promptly called and spoke with her. What a pleasure. I ordered her book and since we have received it, Don and I spend time some evenings going through it. It brings much joy to us to learn so much about family, especially ones lost for so many years. All of you are just great and we want to meet everyone! Don and I live in a small mountain community of the southern Sierra Nevada's called Tehachapi in California. Don has been employed with the Department of Defense for 28 years now and headed down the backstretch to retirement. I work for our local water district, which is a mile from out home for the past 8 years. This is our 21st year together and it seems like we met only yesterday. He's a wonderful person and I am so very fortunate to have him. We look forward to communicating with everyone as it keeps us somewhat "in touch" until we can eventually meet. We will be getting together with other members of the family as soon as Debbie, Aunt Nellie's daughter, is feeling better. Get well Debbie. Take care to all

Hope that things are going well for everybody. I tried to get the lawn mowed today but, The lawn mower broke a line or something. Oh well it was getting way to hot outside any way.

There is a new annoucement about some cousins that will be adding to this blog this weekend. There names are Donald and Gina Wiseman. Since Grandma's maiden name was Wiseman that should give you a hint. I will let them tell the rest. They are very nice cousins and live somewhere out by Brother John.

My TV SHOW

Hi Everybody:
I don't know if you remember me mentioning my TV show on an earlier blog.
When I had some friends over and we watch part on of the series about two months ago. I was impressed with that on but wanted to wait to see the whole series or as least the bulk of the material before passing judgment on the show.
Well I watch Part II this morning and I must say it was great. I even learned from myself. I was practically captivated by the show, I mean it was truly interesting, and I knew all this stuff, it's me talking after all.
Most importantly I think it would be interesting to someone even if they didn't know anything about Tarot or didn't even want to know anything about Tarot. It is so much about human life and it's lessons you would hardly know it was about Tarot if we didn't say so, and everyone didn't already know what Tarot Cards look like. But if they didn't and just watched the show not know or caring about Tarot they too would find the show informative in not very interesting as well. I was very impressed with what I saw.
Now in my life I must remember I am that very wise caring sometimes a little funny attractive professional woman I saw today on the TV SCREEN.
I must completely forget any other self image I had. The one of old and failures, that image must leave my life and my consciousness forever. Today is a big step in that direction.
Thank you all for being here to listen to my self revelation, as my family.
If any of you may still hold old view of me, you must see my show and help me change my image in your mind as well as my own, because in reality we are all of the same stuff.

...The Hartung/Whiteflower household is once again on the path to prosperity! Through our never ending efforts to improve our minds, our hearts, our souls and our lives we have been blessed with abundance. I started my new job a couple of weeks ago and it is glorious! The pay is only so-so for now but the perks are great and I know the Universe will take care of everything else.

We have had a fabulous summer so far. A number of trips to the mountains; it is just beautiful up there. So many different flora and fauna. We saw the strangest bug on our last visit. Wow! What a scary sucker. It looked almost like a HUGE wasp...it was black & yellow striped with a weird medallion-looking "spot" on its head and a HUGE stinger. The thing was about 3 or 4 inches long, maybe longer! Mom and I were both wearing green and Mom had on a flowered hat so we seemed to have attracted it for a little while. Eventually it moved on its way; it seemed to have a route through the area as we saw it in the same place at about the same time two days in a row.

Mom has a lot of really great things going on as well. She is on the local tv station now regularly; she has a schedule on her website, I think. She has some really big projects coming up over the next couple of months that will keep her busy and hopefully making some dough too.

Steve is still pretty much, just Steve. He putters around with his garden and taking care of his ladies; both home, work and his closest friend Julie. Poor guy is ruled by women everywhere he turns. Well, things could be worse for him I guess...he could have no women. :)

Sorority is also keeping us all hopping. Summer is just a busy time. We had our Convention and that was a blast! We met a lot of really great ladies from across the state. We got our picture taken with the mayor of Broomfield; she is quite a woman.

Molly, thanks for the Kudos! Lately just busy with work so I have not had a chance to do much scrapbooking but I will probably get some more done next month; actually I need to go so I can get to work sometime today. I will try to post more later.

Humming Bird Whisper

This last week-end was Jenifer and Steve First Wedding Anniversary and we had a small party up at the cabin where they were married. It was a little rainy but wonderful none the less. It seems Steve is somewhat of a Humming Bird Whisper, you will see what I mean with these picture. Sometimes they will land on his head but today it was about landing on his finger. The last to pictures is of a humming bird on it's next we found and then the nest without the hummer mom. What a great experience, one I will remember the rest of my life. Humming Birds make their nests out of spider webs so they are silk nests, how cool is that.

Family Experiences

It is with great regret that one post upset me that it impaired my judgement regarding posting.

So with out anything further I would like to replace some of the posts that I had removed.

Also to add a little bit more in other area's of memories. Perhaps I should start at my earliest recollections. I can remember living on Bayla Street barely. But one of the wonderful memories that I do have is of Mrs and Mr. Hansen. He was a red head and a really fine man. Mrs Hansen was the best cookie maker and the best hugger that there will ever be. If anyone has any pictures of them I sure would like one.

Now about the only other thing that I can remember are my two brothers playing hide and go seek with my sister and I. Usually it was a lot of fun. But on this one time they took me with them so they could help me hide. We had an old freezer that set in the garage. It was turned off and cleaned out good. So my brothers put me in it and said to wait and they would be back. I waited for what seemed to be hours and was probably a few second. After a little while I started screaming and banging on the lid of the freezer. . They opened the lid and started laughing and I started crying. I went in and told mom and they got in trouble. Ha Ha!

When our family was all together in a house on Edwards road. I remember several of experiences that I will share with you later.

Great job on the scrap booking. Looks really good. I would like to be able to see it when it is up to date. Since we have such a healthy longevity line it will be a long time before it is finished. For those of you that do not know much about my grand mother, she lived to be 104 and 3/4 years. A week prior to her death she went to her favorite group The Fiddlers and Sang and danced the hours away.
So any way just wanted to say what a great job Jenifer.

Hi: Molly came down this morning and looked up language and got me back in English. She put a little fence around my patio and partly in the grass so Weeman can't run off and I don't have to run after him when I take care of him while they are gone to Alabama July 1st. He gets his tail cut off next Tuesday. Poor little guy leg in a cast and no tail. He will be a funny looking Doxie. Will send a picture.
Jon Glen has moved to another place in Iraq. I will send him a message tomorrow. Been quilting on Harley's quilt. Guess I'll get it done by the time she is sixteen. Love MOM
Mary: Bette Lou told me that when they went to visit us at Redondo Beach you were about 4 years old and she and Nannette went in the bathroom and locked the door, you banged on the door and said it was alright if girls saw girls in your little southeren accent. Don't know where you got a southern accent but you did have one, every body commented on it.

are son jon is bing moved to mosul in iraq, sure will be glad when he gets back to hawaii. tootie and i are both working for the shuttle buss at bryce canyon nat. park. i drive out to the south end of the park twice a day on thursday friday saterday and sunday it is a three and a half hour tour. outher than that i play golf on one of my days off mow lawns on one other day and go shopping on the other. by the way hi mom, love ya. spike

Well, Mom finally got me to take some time out to write something; not sure what yet, but here I am. We have been quite busy with our Sorority group, Delta Sigma of Beta Sigma Phi. It is a lot of fun going to the meetings and the social events; the ladies are all really nice. Our convention is next weekend and we have put together a couple of baskets to raffle off; we think they will be a big hit. One basket is a scrap booking basket and is choc' full of all kinds of wonderful scrap booking supplies; I will have to buy a bunch of tickets myself, I am often pretty lucky at these sorority raffles and I have a PASSION for scrap booking these days! The other is a basket of greeting cards that the Delta Sigma sisters all made...that was a lot of fun and the cards are all very beautiful...and fun ...and colorful...and so nice.

Steve, my husband, and I are planning our First Anniversary Party; July 15th will be one year. It's hard to believe I really have been married a year! We are very happy, still very much the newlyweds. Our party will be at the cabin where we got married with BBQ, picnicking, camping, fishing and general party fun. We anticipate that there will be a lot of folks coming up. Steve has a lot of friends here, he has been her for more than 15 years. I have a few friends but have mostly stuck to home lately. Our neighbors are very nice and may decide to come up. And Steve's friends are now my friends, of course. We have both really become quite the home bodies. We like to BBQ and hang out in the yard with the neighbors. Summer is really pretty here...even in town or when it is hot.

Our trip to Montana, Steve and I, was a great time. His mom was very glad to see him...and me. :) It was good to see everyone again; they are a very nice family. There were some illnesses and deaths in the last few years that have taken its toll on those in Montana...Steve too I suppose but he keeps it to himself no matter how I pry so I gave up. Anyway, everyone was so glad to see us finally. His nieces were a delight and absolutely love their Uncle Steve...and Aunt Jenifer by proxy. They were a hoot, especially the little one; she is very precocious.

Well that is all of the really exciting news here. Mom will keep you updated on more of her side. We plan to do a lot of camping and hanging out at the cabin this summer so anyone interested in a visit, please feel free to give us a call and we will make sure we are here to take you up the mountain. It is just gorgeous here in the summer...well, the winter too but more winter wonderland of course. Everything is so green and peaceful and well, loverly loverly!!

We miss you all and wish you were here with us to enjoy this beautiful place at its most beautiful!

My TV show aired last night

We watched my first TV show last night on our local Boulder TV channel 54 it was the first of my series on Tarot a work shop called Simply seeing with Tarot and the first show was half hour it will show every other day at 7 pm and 11pm for the rest of this month and next month will start the rest of the series to be three 45 min shows,to show over and over again for the next few months. Very exciting. Had a few friends over to watch it with me. It is a local Boulder station so you live in Colorado and I guess at least Denver area to see it. But anyone can alway buy the DVD if you want to learn Tarot. Thank every one.

Hi everyone, We just got home. We have been at the lake of the ozarks for fathers day weekend. We had a really good time. The lake was kinda busy but the girls got to tube behind the boat a little. We spent most of the time swimming off the dock and just hanging at the house. Harley is so tan. She is just like mom(except tall). well I hope everyone had a good weekend. I well talk to you soon. Nellie caled me the other night and told me she received a call from Gina Wiseman. Her husband is the Grandson of my Uncle Arnold. He didn't know he had any relatives except his brother and was so excited to know he has family. Gina called me the other night as Nellie told her I have more information than she does. She ordered a book from me and I do have some Wiseman history in the book.

Well Hell: I finally got this right with Molly's help again. I just didn't click one little box. Hope Harley did well at the acrobatic meet, sure she did. I had a great Birthday and Party. Danced to the Missouri Waltz. Told them at the center my new birthday suit that Molly got me looked really good and for sure looks better than my old Birthday Suit. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful Family and now we have a new member I found thru Mack Yaussy, Unkie's son, and that is Sherry and James McGhee. Sherry is Unkie's granddaughter and Cartella's daughter. Also I will get in touch with Crystal who has been in Iraq, and tell her about Sherry. Do hope she is home with her two baby's. OK family Blog Let's talk. I know Momma you don't like to talk politics, well I would like to talk about it, not exactly but maybe only sort of a little. I was sent an email by a group Jenifer were going to for a few years when we were with out a church home, It is called Sunday Morning Conversation Group.It was a group of people just like us, yet nothing like us, the sameness is they wanted to have conversation with other humans about issues. Not really political in fact when we were going it could not be a subject of either religion or politics but could evolve to those topics if that is where the conversation went. So we talked about family and social realities and a complete gamete of topics. Well anyway this email I just got from the group was about subject matter to be discussed this Sunday. Now I have a church home and we don't go to the group any more just because it is the same time as our church service. So the topic this week is National Security Presidential Directives. We in this group were no religion or political set, much varied, and that made things interesting. There was also a link for more information about the subject. So I was curious and followed the link. What I read there, worries me a great deal, as it is what I had predicted years ago but prayed to be wrong about this. Not really predicted as I don't really do that, I just sort of saw the possibility by what was going on at the time, and from what I had studied.
Well I would like every one to not consider me or my view point, but read this link I will be putting here with an open mind, and maybe leave me a comment. I love you all so don't anyone bother to get upset in any way I just found it to be a worry. Not too big of a worry as it was to me a long time ago. Hello, I'm Letitia daughter of Mary, and grandaughter of Justapearl. I live in Missouri with my 2 girls Jade 17 and Harley 14 and my husband Will. Ok well anyway we are all doing well the girls are busy as usual. Both Jade and Harley made the varsity cheerleading squad this year and Harley is compeating in acrobatic gymnastics so our summer is filled going back and forth to practice. Well hi to all my family I wish I could see you all soon. I was glad to hear everyone had a good visit in Arizona I wish I would have been there. Happy Birthday to grandma Jade said you called she is reading your book right now.She is enjoying it alot. I will call you this week sometime. I hope to learn to put pictures on here soon and will post some when I do. We all went to The Lake of the Ozarks over the weekend it was fun but the lake was to busy to do any water sports except on the last day we were there(tues.). I hope all is well with everyone . Thank you Mom for puting this thing on line . I hope everyone uses it. It will be great to hear from family that I haven't kept in touch with and maybe this will make it easier for all of us.
